| The Pennhills Club is pleased and proud to announce the appointment of Harry Buckham as new head PGA Golf Professional. Harry is a native Pennsylvanian, originally from Slippery Rock where he grew up playing golf from the age of 7. He continued playing through high school and on to PGA School. He began his professional career at Blackhawk Golf Club, Galena OH, where he was named "Best Golf Instructor" by publication, Teeing Off in central Ohio. He also held assistant and head pro positions in Pittsburgh, Meadville, Scottsdale, AZ, and most recently, Lost Creek Country Club, Lima OH, and Buffalo Valley Country Club, Freeport, PA. Harry, aka, "Corky" prides himself in his superior club-fitting and teaching abilities as well as desire to ensure that everyone is treated equally with respect and that they truly enjoy their golf experience. He is very excited about his position at Pennhills and plans to enhance the Junior and Women's programs as well as all areas of the golf curriculum. Corky's family; his wife Donna of 22 years, daughters, Kathy, 14, and Becca, 13, plan to relocate to Bradford soon. They are all looking forward to the move and to making many new friends in the Bradford area. ***************************************************** The Pennhills Club offers a complete golf program for men, women, juniors and senior players. The club plays host to a wide variety and range of outings and tournaments to players of all skill levels. The Pennhills Club is a member of the USGA and utilizes the GHIN system and it's members services. The club is a member of the Walter J. Travis Society and competes annually in the Travis Cup Matches against four other clubs designed by the renowned architect. The competing team includes men, women, juniors and the club pro. Our popular men’s and women’s 9 hole evening leagues and it's WLTPG, women learning to play golf, play weekly matches throughout the summer until Labor Day when league champions are crowned. The Men’s Golf Association is comprised of more than 140 club members playing weekly with sponsors that host 17 events consisting of golf, dinner and awards. |
